2012: reporting research into how and why educational leadership became so important

This book reports on a major project that investigated how and why New Labour (1997-2010) invested in school leadership as the means of bringing about reforms. The project examined theories, the setting up of the NCSL, and interviewed over 120 people in government, universities and the profession.
